Paddle/Platform Tennis is an American racquet sport enjoyed by thousands of people of all ages. It is the only racquet sport that players can enjoy outdoors in cold weather. This unique appeal attracts people who desire fresh air, competition, and social engagement - all on a chilly winter's night. Tennis Memberships - Season: May 1 - September 30
Rates: $30/person per season for unlimited play at the lower, recently resurfaced, courts.
The entire community is welcome to play at the Social Center's Folf Course. The course is located behind the Center on the Hale House property, which is near our tennis courts and the Bouquet Senior Housing. Access is the road between Egglefield Ford and the Bouquet river. All you need is a frisbee. Course maps are available at the Center or the Town Hall.
In case you haven't heard of it, FOLF is frisbee golf, and the game involves chucking a frisbee towards a post in the ground some distance away. On the post is a metal shroud hanging by chain which makes noise when struck by the frisbee. As in golf, you have a given number of tosses to do it. It'll be a 9 hole short course, mainly comprised of par 3 holes, with a few par 4's.
