Coming Up in Teen Rec...

Invitation to all local Veterans,

The Elizabethtown Social Center’s Teen Rec Program requests the honor of your presence in recognition of Veteran’s Day.

The Social Center teens would be honored to serve you at our Veterans Appreciation Dinner at the Social Center on Thursday, November 21, at 6 p.m.

The American Legion welcomes you to stay afterward for their monthly meeting.

Memory Cafe is hosted by the Caregiver Support Initiative on the third Tuesday every month from 1-3 p.m.


Tuesday, Oct. 15 features free chair yoga by Luis Sierra.


Tuesday, Nov. 19 features live jazz by Steve Collier.

The SUNY Plattsburgh Caregiver Support Initiative supports those with memory loss and their caregivers. The Memory Cafe provides a gathering place for friends with Alzheimer's disease or other Dementia and their caregivers to relax and enjoy social events, refreshments and entertainment.

Walk-ins are welcome, but RSVP is appreciated to Kristin Fleming at (518)564-2049. More information can be found at

The Elizabethtown-Westport Garden Club

monthly at the Social Center on the 1st Thursday of most months at 11:00 a.m. 

On Oct. 3, make a Hypertufa Planter!

Master Gardener Kathy Linker will present instructions on making a hypertufa planter.


On Nov. 7, Garden Club will make holiday crafts for the annual Greens Tea fundraiser.


Bring a bagged lunch. Coffee & dessert provided!

United Healthcare will offer a Medicare Presentation at the Center on the following Fridays during open enrollment:

October 18, noon - 2 pm

October 25, noon - 2 pm

November 8, noon - 3 pm
