Chorale Spring Session Begins
Join the Pleasant Valley Chorale on Tuesday, Jan. 28 as it launches its first session of the new decade with “Sondheim! A Celebration.”
One of the most important figures in 20th century musical theater, Stephen Sondheim has been praised for reinventing the American musical with shows that tackle unexpected themes that range far beyond the genre's traditional subjects and music and lyrics of unprecedented complexity and sophistication.
Rehearsals will begin on Jan. 28, from 7-9 p.m. at the Elizabethtown Social Center and take place weekly culminating in two concerts in early May. Dues to join are $15 for the entire session, and a weekly commitment is strongly encouraged.
New Saturday Yoga Class!
Let us help you meet your fitness goals for the new year! Michael Fergot will add a class at 10 am on Saturdays starting Jan 4.
The weekly yoga schedule is as follows:
Mon 5 pm - Karin DeMuro
Wed 9 am - Michael Fergot
Wed 5 pm - Karin DeMuro
Fri 9 am - Michael Fergot
Sat 10 am - Michael Fergot

Adult Recreational Pickleball
Most Tuesdays at 6 pm*
When the outdoor courts become unavailable through winter, the Social Center sponsors pickleball for adults at the Mountain View Campus of BVCS in Elizabethtown because the school requires a sponsor to provide liability insurance for non-school events and activities.
The Center agrees to provide this coverage to offer community members an opportunity to have fun and get exercise. In return, the Center asks players to abide by guidelines in order to have a safe environment where all players are welcome and participate.

ADK Speak Spanish meets Wednesdays at 10:30 am to practice with songs, games and conversation. All ages welcome!
Pleasant Valley Quilters Begin Meeting at the Center
The Pleasant Valley Quilters gathers at the Social Center on the third Thursday of the month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to work on community service projects such as lap quilts, adult clothing protectors, pillow cases, walker bags, etc., for our local hospitals, nursing homes and veterans.
The group of 30 members also meets at 6:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month in the Elizabethtown Community Hospital conference room. The purpose of the group is to provide crafters an opportunity to gather for socialization and education; share the art of quilting; and create projects for charitable purposes. Anyone interested in joining the Pleasant Valley Quilters and/or participating in a day of sewing and socializing is welcome.
