We are happy to see people using the courts and lawns during our closure. We ask everyone to continue to follow precautions: maintaining social distance, wearing a mask when a 6-foot distance cannot be maintained, and not sharing equipment with those outside of your household.
After July 6, NYS will allow the following outdoor sports to resume:
higher risk sports like basketball/football/volleyball with individual or distanced group training, no/low contact group training (practice), but still no games/scrimmages/tournaments;
moderate- to lower-risk sports like racket games/soccer/frisbee/yard games with individual or distanced group training, no/low contact group training (practice), competitive practice and games, but still no tournaments. Only one person at a time should enter the platform court hut.
While there is a variety of opinions and personal choices during the covid crisis, our opening will be based solely on NYS guidelines. Please make your own determination about when you feel it is safe to return to the courts. The Social Center building and programming will not open until July 6 at the earliest. If you have questions or concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The following guidelines by the USTA should be reviewed before playing:

Tennis and Pickleball Courts
The Social Center offers tennis and pickleball courts on Lawrence Way.
The Social Center is a private 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We do not charge membership fees to use our tennis/pickleball courts, and we are not municipal (tax-funded.) Thank you for considering donating to offset maintenance costs, which average $2,750 per year. Our goal is to preserve the courts and the availability of tennis and pickleball in our community. We appreciate those who join us in that endeavor.
We suggest the following donations:
Regular players - $10 per month
Visitors - $5 per couple, per day
We encourage local children to play for free.
We suggest $50 for those who would like to make a single donation for the season (generally nets are up mid-April until threat of frost/snow in November)
Equipment is available to borrow at the Social Center during open hours.
Donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law and can be made at the Social Center at 7626 US Route 9 or mailed to PO Box 205, Elizabethtown, NY 12932.
Lawrence Way can be found in between Egglefield Ford and the bridge at the intersection of Route 9 and River St. Click here for directions to courts.
Players may use our Facebook group "Social Center Pickleball and Tennis" to arrange meeting times or find playing partners.
