We invite you to gather for a delightfully unpredictable mix of food, great live music and a bit of storytelling at our Community Potluck on Sunday, May 3, from 4:30 to 7PM at the Elizabethtown Social Center.
Guests are encouraged to bring a small dish that tells a story - a favorite childhood meal, a cherished family dish, a reflection of cultural heritage or a recipe from history.
“We wanted to create something that is fun and welcoming to everyone,” Arts and Outreach Coordinator, Emily Rascoe said. “Bring an old favorite or a new creation or just bring your appetite and curiosity!”
Doors at 4:30pm, followed by dinner at 5pm. Guests will have the chance to share personal traditions and memories about their dish, or just enjoy the smorgasborg. From 5:30 - 7pm, Russ Cook will play a live mix of his original songs and unique covers.
Alongside the food and music, there will be activities to keep all ages happy, including pool, foosball, crafts and more!

To inspire your choice of a unique dish to share!
Here’s some fun culinary history:
In 1962, Chicago schools received truckloads of government surplus canned sauerkraut to feed the unlucky students at lunch. One creative school cook came up with a delicious dish to solve this problem: a sauerkraut-filled chocolate cake, complete with a mocha whipped cream topping.
The event is free and open to the public, with donations welcome to support ongoing programming at the Elizabethtown Social Center.
The Elizabethtown Social Center is located at 7626 US-9 in Elizabethtown.
