Over the past few years, we've found more and more ways to bring our community together.
Twice as many programs.
73% more people through our doors.
Over 85% of local teens are now enrolled in our free afterschool Teen Rec program.
We completed a major energy upgrade capital project!
None of that would be possible without the people who believe in the Social Center and continue to show up, donate, enjoy our events & programming and spread the word with what we do! This is an evening to honor all our supporters, including the donors behind our capital projects.
We invite you to celebrate with us at our Open House on Thursday, October 1, from 5pm - 7pm. There will be tours, a silent auction, 1940s inspired mocktails (we were founded in 1939), appetizers from Pleasant Valley Cafe and Irma's Tamales, and live jazz from Two Of A Kind Duo! Plus crafts and games for our younger guests.

We want to hear from you...
This evening is also about looking ahead. There's still so much we want to do. We want to offer programs that people are excited about, create more opportunities for kids, teens, families, and adults.
Come tell us what you'd like to see, to create, to learn, or where you'd like to travel in our new 15-passenger van... Our board members are waiting to talk with you. And our 6:30 listening session will be a chance to spark some ideas as a group.
A peek behind the scenes or "old dogs can learn new tricks"
The community sees our explosion in programs, but less obvious is the explosion behind the scenes. This is a great chance to talk with board and staff about what they do to make it all happen... and how you can invest in the community with us - whether it's your ideas, volunteer time, art teaching experience, nonprofit skills, financial donations (or just your old guitar for our Teen Rec program).
A little look at where we've been
The Elizabethtown Social Center has been part of this community since 1939, when Cora Putnam Hale founded the Center with a simple goal: to create the greatest good for the greatest number of people in our community.
We're still working toward that same goal and spend a remarkable amount of time figuring out what we can offer that will improve the lives of our residents.
