A Morning of Memories, Creativity, and Cooking

There’s nothing quite like the way kids tell stories. Sometimes it’s through words, sometimes through pictures, and sometimes through the food they proudly place in front of you with a big smile. On Saturday, September 13, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the Elizabethtown Social Center is bringing all of that magic together in one morning of fun: Kids Scrapbooking & Cooking!

This event combines two simple joys: crafting and cooking. Kids will spend time building their very own summer scrapbook, filling its pages with photos, keepsakes, and the little details that make their adventures unforgettable. With stickers, paper, and plenty of colorful supplies provided, each scrapbook will become as unique as the child who creates it.

At the same time, we’ll head into the kitchen to learn how to make a warm, hearty frittata. Cooking is more than just following a recipe, it’s about trying something new, being proud of your creation, and discovering that food tastes even better when shared.

Once the scrapbooks are finished and the frittatas are ready, we’ll gather for a cozy tea party with tea and hot chocolate. It’s the perfect chance for kids to enjoy what they’ve made, flip through each other’s scrapbooks, and trade stories of summertime fun.

It’s a morning designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and create memories that will last long after the last sip of cocoa.

6 Reasons Kids Will Be Excited for Scrapbooking & Cooking:

  1. It’s hands-on and messy (in the best way!) – From glue sticks to eggs, kids get to dive right in and use their hands to create.

  2. They’ll make something that’s all theirs – A scrapbook filled with their own photos and treasures is a keepsake they can show off for years.

  3. Cooking is like magic – Cracking eggs, stirring veggies, and watching a frittata puff up in the pan is both fun and a little bit magical.

  4. They get to eat what they make – Nothing tastes better than food you cooked yourself, especially when paired with tea and hot chocolate.

  5. It feels like a party – Scrapbooks, snacks, tea, and laughter… it’s not just a class, it’s a celebration!

  6. They’ll go home with full bellies & big smiles – A scrapbook to keep, a new recipe learned, and a morning of memories to carry with them.
